Towards Achieving Indefinite Lifespans
The potential exists for indefinite lifespans in the next few decades. Defeating biological aging is an actual potential for the relatively near future.
In order to achieve indefinite lifespans, a few things would need to happen. The best way for this to be achieved is for funding to be significantly increased for organizations like SENS Research Foundation, Methuselah Foundation, and Buck Institute for Research on Aging. If hundreds of millions of dollars are devoted to these organizations then indefinite lifespans could potentially be achieved sooner rather than later. Funding should come from private and public sources. Encourage the general public, influencers, and politicians to support efforts to defeat aging.
If enough funded is devoted to research related to defeating aging, then the defeat of aging could potentially happen in a two or three decades if everything goes really well.
Encourage people to read the book Ending Aging by Aubrey de Grey and Michael Rae. Help people to overcome pro-aging mindsets. Help people to realize that aging is our worst humanitarian crisis. About 100,000 people die each day from aging. We can and must achieve longevity escape velocity.
Run for office as part of Futurist Party with the main plank in your platform being the achievement of indefinite lifespans and the defeat of aging. Run for Senator, Representative, Governor, or President. Be creative in how you help to hasten the defeat of aging.
To defeat aging, and to achieve indefinite lifespans, ultimately there needs to be a massive amount of popular support for the cause. Indefinite lifespans for humans is a real possibility, if we all strive together to see it happen, to see aging defeated.
